1. What does it cost?
There is no fixed price list, because the labour depends on the panel rather than the badge. Five things set the number: how deep the dent is, whether it sits on a flat area or a body line, how accessible the back of the panel is, whether the paint is intact, and how many dents there are.

2. How long does it take?
- A single door ding: commonly one to two hours.
- Two or three dents: usually the same visit.
- A crease along a body line: longer, because the metal moves in smaller steps.
- Light hail on one or two panels: about a day.
- Heavier hail across a vehicle: several days.
There is no drying or cure time afterwards, because nothing is painted. The car can be washed the same day.
3. Should insurance be involved?
For a single door ding, almost never. The repair is typically less than or close to a deductible, so a claim achieves nothing.

What tends to surprise people
Two things. First, a small sharp dent can cost more than a large soft one, because concentrated impacts stretch the metal. Second, access is often the biggest single cost factor, and it has nothing to do with how the dent looks from outside.
